Eyes of the World Media Group is looking for an enthusiastic and committed video sales and marketing representative for METH INSIDE OUT, an innovative educational DVD series on methamphetamine addiction and recovery produced in partnership with UCLA. The series is geared towards users in recovery, their families and the counselors who treat them. You will be selling the best product ever created in this marketspace. The series combines cutting-edge motion graphics and 3D animation, compelling first person accounts, and the most up-to-date research using an effective and engaging presentation style. We need someone with the passion and experience to effectively get the series to the people who need it most.

Qualifications: Experience in product sales to large organizations, companies or institutions is necessary. Experience in DVD or educational video sales a plus. Knowledge of online networks and strong internet research skills essential. Excellent telephone, writing, and interpersonal skills. Responsible, self-motivated, good attention to detail.

This here is a call for art in any medium that accounts the result(s) of some inquiry, investigation, or experiment and purports to document reality in one fashion or another. This may include science fair reports, news reports, book reports, progress reports, process reports, re-enactments, etc… Video documentaries will be played on our small in-store TV's. DVD's for play and sale welcome.

I'm a film student in City College of San Francisco working on a short doc on Palestinian Home Demolitions by the Israeli military. I need some more demolition footage to finish my film. Does anyone out there have demolition footage I could use or know anyone who does?

Hmmm, the D-Word is a 34 year old male residing in New York New York. Who knew?

We had to set these things, there was no way to hide them.

Clever.

I am interested in advice on how to find right person (film maker) and fund a small documentary style effort and what might be interesting goals / benefits that makes it a win/win for company and film producer. Budget would likely be shoestring, but could be an interesting experience.

Example situation:
Say you have a big event every year like MacWorld (AppleWorld) or an auto show (but put on by only one company, not a tradeshow)... you show off your latest products, you launch 2 or 3 new things, and you show a vision of where your company is going (concept cars, or other physical immersive manifestations). You have to entice the media and your top customers to attend and you want to broadcast and create discussion around all 3 parts of this event experience...

I am exploring how a highly experiential event with similar attributes could leverage film/documentary storytelling in interesting, meaningful ways – meaningful to the company, its stakeholders, and the film maker...

Some nice to have goals for company might be:
+ capture people's reactions around new product innovation at large/major event in Eastern Europe (new product concepts around several themes, dramatic event experience in major city, new products being launched, other interesting products being demonstrated/show for sales in both business to business and business to consumer arena)
+ capture value design is adding to business
+ possible interviews with CEO/CMOs from top companies
+ many other areas that could be mutually interesting if discussed... but trying to understand if this might be interesting to a qualified independent film maker or high potential starting out

There could be two cuts... both would likely be very people-focused. But, one could capture essence of business value and the other could be all around creative/design side of things.

Recently set up this portal to sell iPOD / portable-ready MP4s of my own titles BOOKWARS, SUSAN HERO, and others, and am now offering the platform to other filmmakers who may want to sell MP4 versions (non- DRM) of their work.

No guarantees re: revenue, but probably worth a try, especially for older releases that aren't well repped in the digital space.
