Monster Jimenez is the resident writer of Arkeofilms, a production company. In 2005, she wrote and produced “Big Time,” a full length feature film which earned critical raves and awards at the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, including an award for best screenplay. She has also edited and co-produced many of Arkeo’s short narrative features including “Mansyon” and “Putot.”
Her debut documentary feature, "Kano: An American and His Harem" won in the First Appearance Category at the 2010 IDFA. It has gone on to win and participate in other festivals. In 2011, she was invited as juror at IDFA, as the festival's tradition to invite its last year's winners to join the jury.
She is currently working on her second documentary, "Are Clouds Blue? The Story of Sick Books".
