Head of department for documentaries at AVE TV-Production Ltd. 02/2008 till now
Since early summer 2008 I am responsible for the section “Documentary and Reports†at AVE TV-production Ltd., a subsidiary of the Holtzbrinck publishing house. In this context I was in-volved developing a daily science show for the French-German cultural channel Arte, made one documentary by myself and produced others.

Deputy CEO of the editorial department of “Suedwild†(“South and wildâ€), the 2008 launched youth program. The idea of the show of that youngsters are producing films and talks by them-selves. Experienced TV-journalists are only giving technical and editorial support where neces-sary. I was leading a crew of 45 people, organizing their work and planning editorial content of this daily live show. Furthermore I supported young filmmakers to produce their own short TV-films.

Responsible for the entire film-making process: developing a concept, finding buyers and financ-ing, filming, editing, purchasing rights and dealing with broadcasters. I have been involved in the production of nine films in the past three years. The item “Latest Films†down below contains a detailed description of my different responsibilities.
• Produced seven movies (feature and documentaries between 30 and 80 minute) as one half of a creative team, and were the executive producer for two documentaries.
• Building up a network of people working in the film business as editors of the channels, cameramen, sound engineers, and people of postproduction firms as well as of film fund-ing trusts, journalists and lawyers.
• Leading the negotiations for buying footage for the international market, most recently for our feature-length 70 minutes long high gloss reportage about Mount Everest, finalize the deal with an agreement drafted by myself.
• Handling rights selling, licensing and controlling the compliance with personal rights of protagonists and music rights for all our movies.
• Handling the process of application to national and international festivals for our films, last “Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner – a woman at the top†for festivals in Graz, Leipzig and Cannes.
• Organizing national and international shootings, last a concert shooting in Italy for our portrait of Ryiuchi Sakamoto and soon a shooting with Jacques Morelenbaum for a fea-ture about Bossa Nova in Rio de Janeiro.
• Shooting independently, last one week in Phoenix Arizona for a 45 minutes reportage about by their own parents abducted children last September, subsequent editing the film
