His previous documentary, Father G and the Homeboys (www.fathergandthehomeboysmovie.com)followed four gangbangers from the streets of East L.A. to the White House, and received critical acclaim and six awards. Driven by a strong conviction that all children deserve a great education and the opportunity to realize their full potential, John has been cited for excellence over 20 years as a public school teacher.
