David Dean Barrett Pro

Historian David Dean Barrett specializes in bringing history to life through his writing, speaking, and research. As a writer, David focuses on creating powerful, compelling, and provocative feature motion picture and television screenplays, as well as traditional forms of scholarly expression, i.e. books and articles.

David also enjoys sharing exciting stories from history by taking to the stage as: a professional speaker, an on camera historian, a frequent university guest lecturer, an oral historian, and historic tour guide.

Given his primary interest in non-fiction writing, David is acutely aware of the value and importance of high quality historic research, a service he provides for other screenwriters, museums, and historians.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, including tenure with globally based AT&T, NCR, and Visa, Mr. Barrett held positions in: senior management, product development and management, operations, project management, marketing research, sales, IT consulting, and as an Executive Producer for an independent motion picture.

In 2001, David began the final chapter of his career, becoming a professional historian, by returning to his Alma Mater the University of Colorado to get a Master’s Degree in History.

In 2012, David left corporate America and opened the doors for his new company, One With History, Inc.
