In 2004, I made The Life, a documentary about one of the pioneers of Iranian cinema, Nosrat Karimi. In 2005, I accomplished a workshop by Abbas Kiarostami and became one of the selected members of the workshop. In 2008 I made My City Pizza a very funny documentary about popularity of pizza in Tehran. The film joind and awarded in many festivals around the world. In 2009, I was awarded an IDFA Jan Vrijman Fund (currently Bertha Fund) for the project Hidden Kisses, but I was unable to finish the film due to the widespread civil unrest that took place In 2010 I moved to California, where I made my latest documentary, produced by Maziar Bahari again, “Kiosk, A Generation Destroyed By Madness” which is about the Iranian underground rock band Kiosk, and more generally a story of a generation who have grown up in Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
