Synopsis

On October 25th, 2011, Dr. John Gayden Jr. is arrested in Indialantic, Florida for overprescribing oxycodone while engaging in sexual activities with minors. In an eight-month Dr. Gayden prescribed almost as many oxycodone as the state of California. Patients would be charged $200-$400 per appointment with little to no medical evaluation received. A prescription for 120-180 30mg oxycodone pills would be given for a two-week period. One prescription I’ve seen in court documents Dr. Gayden prescribed 520 oxycodone in one prescription. In 2009, Dr. Gayden becomes an all cash business on A1A in Indialantic, Florida. The criminal activity that Dr. Gayden’s practice attracted to the area was unfounded. One incident involves two 21-year-old males and 19-year-old female who attempted to rob and kill Dr. Gayden. Both males had previously been arrested for selling oxycodone prescribed by Dr. Gayden. The film covers the opioid epidemic, sexual addiction, and the big pharmaceutical companies.
