Rebecca Romani	San Diego	a short inquiry into Randall Hamud, one of the few Moslem Arab-American lawyers who has been respresenting various "material witness" detaininees and who has also been asked by Moussaoui's mother to try and talk some sense into him (unfortunately, that hasn't worked). Hamud, depending on how you look at things, represents the essence of the American justice system at its theoretical best, and the essence of the dilema involved in being a targeted minority - he is not keeping his head down, and by exercising what he sees as his professional obligations, he may be committing professional suicide - depending on how the wind blows in the next few months.	preparing	?	04 Sep	luchese@hotmail.com
