A Palestinian American filmmaker explores identity and terrorism in the wake of September 11.

Angela Alston got her start in video through Seattle public access. Her first work, Serious Underwear, was created in collaboration with poet Jan Wallace. She has produced and directed a variety of shorts -- straight and experimental documentaries, narrative, and dance. Her work has screened at festivals in Europe, the U.S., and Canada, winning several awards. Since Sept. 11, she has worked part-time at Democracy Now! She has an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin.
