Guidelines

A) WAR & PEACE - A D-Word Collaborative Project will initially be streamed as individual segments on the web.
WAR & PEACE will also be made available for screenings at film festivals and other venues. A program of segments, organized chronologically, may eventually be assembled for broadcast and distribution in other markets.

B) Filmmakers must be members of The D-Word Community in order to submit a segment. Membership is free and easy.

C) WAR & PEACE is intended to promote freedom of expression. Segments will not be censored for political, social, spiritual or economic opinions. However, segments which contain expressions of hatred or intolerance may be excluded by unanimous vote of all participating filmmakers.

D) Topic, style, format, and duration are at filmmaker’s discretion. However, digital video segments under ten minutes are encouraged. Participants should consider broadcast standards, including clearing rights to footage and music.

E) Filmmakers retain ownership of material, but license completed works to the producers of WAR & PEACE for distribution in all markets and territories for a period of one year.

F) WAR & PEACE is a volunteer effort. Revenue will be donated to a charitable fund to be determined by majority vote.
