Hi everyone! I’m Erin, an amateur documentary filmmaker based in Boston. I recently moved from New York where I was interning at Jigsaw Productions and Four Corners Media. I run my own freelance video production and post-production service, which has proved quite successful thus far, but am hoping to transition from the scattered nature of freelance projects to a career in feature-length documentary. I love the storytelling process and believe that documentary offers a unique outlet for knowledge that makes it one of the most important tools for education in the 21st century. I look forward to learning from and participating in the D-Word community.

My name is Jill.

During a hiatus from directing my first documentary, "STRIPPED"... (Okay, after my first one, I said I'd never make another one and got sucked into it again) I actually learned how to shoot and edit and started my own production company www.shootingninjas.com. Currently am finishing a film about female boxers, depression and post traumatic stress disorder, called "Fighting It." I am looking forward to connecting with other doc filmmakers and finding some community here.

Kristof again (after a while on d-word again) – I am currently studying at the National FIlm+Television School in UK for the 2 year MA Documentary Direction. Currently I am preparing my subject for this MA
dissertation to be written next year. I am thinking of making a paper about personal documentaries and their influence on the family/relatives. Etc (I just started off) and I might like to interview you about it.

I recently completed a feature-length doc, GIRLS ON THE WALL, which was a co-production with ITVS (great experience working with them).
