Hiyas, everyone...

I'm a strategist in the field of large-scale social change, bringing about community, city and regional change around the world in partnership with nonprofits, businesses, governments and the media.

For example, I shaped the global strategy for Save the Children USA, the Vision for the City of Melbourne and the Mass Privatization Program for Poland.

These days I serve social enterprises – mainly in the fields of health, education and human rights – helping them go national, and sometimes international, with great impact.

My most recent work has been with documentary producers, and those who develop social action campaigns to turn messages into movements.

I look forward to connecting with folks here who work to create a better world.

Rob Henry
Tue 25 May 2010Link

Heya,
Names Rob, I'm a first time documentarian film-maker and currently working on an independent feature project which I'm stupidly excited about.
I'd been fortunate enough to stumble across a digital video camera in 2008, and which then basically took over my entire life, haha. I've learn an incredible amount in the time since, with regards to filming techniques, editing software and basically just my own style, and where my heart lies I guess.
With this transpiring into the construction of a feature length film and with learning something valuable every step of the way, it's really quite hard to express verbally (or in text) just how amazing this entire experience has been, and is!!
Anyways, I have a few questions to ask the forum in coming weeks, and I figured a forum such as this would probably have other individuals sharing a similar passion.

FYI – I currently shoot with the CanonA1, edit FCP 6
I also recently acquired a nice Super 8 which I can't wait to explore.
I'm based in Australia.

Look forward to chatting,
RbH

Hello everyone -

I am part of a very small team that specializes in LIVE streaming. This week we are broadcasting an hour long interview series with 6 documentary film makers. We would love to have as much participation in the Q&A as possible. Let me know if this is something that you would be interested in participating in. Glad to be a part of the D-word community. Thanks for having me.

Hello. My name is Sarah Christine Bolton and I'm working on a documentary about artists in Berlin, Germany. You can find more info on our (very basic but informative) website: www.childrenofthewall.com.

The director/filmmaker, Eric Swartz, had the idea for this project more than three years ago. He has years of experience making films, documentaries and commercials. It's my first official film project, but so far, we've had great success with it, including two trips to Berlin, a trailer, publicity, etc.

Looking forward to learning more as we go along!
