Comstock Films seeks an editor's assistant/intern.

Technical Requirements: Basic working knowledge of FinalCutPro

Duties: Digitization of footage; synchronization of audio and video, basic logging and organization of footage.

Our approach to filmmaking is, both techincally and creatively, idiosyncratic, so adaptablity is as important as technical expertise and experience. A great opportunity to see a critically and financially successful independent production shop from the inside out; a great foot-in-the-door opportunity for a creative and energetic person.

Our films are sexual/erotic in nature. You will not be working with explicit footage, but must be comfortable with sexual themes.

Additionally, this job may not be a resume builder for all candidates. You will learn a lot and be treated well, but that may not immediately translate into future opportunities with other production companies. Please be ready to explain what you see yourself getting out of working with us.

joiningthedots.tv is a completely new documentary channel. It uses the power of broadband to bring the best documentaries on-demand, direct to your home. We specialise in intelligent, thought provoking films that challenge preconceptions and provide a more coherent picture of the way we live today.

Whatever you are interested in – politics, love, war, culture or religion – joiningthedots.tv brings together a unique collection of films to present a stimulating alternative to the formulaic programming of modern day broadcasters.

We are looking for quality documentaries for the site. We do not aggregate content for the sake of it and therefore we are very choosy about the films we acquire. We are a pay-per-view / subscription site and work with content holders on a revenue share basis.

We have launched with 60 fantastic titles and will be adding 5 – 10 per month.

We are partnered with The Independent newspaper in the UK, who will be running a version of jtd via their website. We will be marrying their editorial excellence with our filmic storytelling by embedding links and trailers in their editorials, which have similar subjects to the films.

All films are piracy protected and territories that may have already gone can be geo-filtered. For the strongest of films we acquire, we will offer the option of selling DVDs via the site. We also have a partnership with Picturehouse cinemas in the UK. They will screen one of our flagship films on a joiningthedots.tv / Independent branded night in a UK wide release every six weeks.

Looking for a videographer/filmmaker to help me film a documentary at the pyramids of Teotihuacan, Mexico in mid-July. I will be documenting my experience in a workshop done at the pyramids on Finding Your Authentic Voice. I have no budget other than covering expenses, so would like to find someone who is interested in an adventure and partnering with me to create something magical! Docs In Progress returns to Washington DC with a new set of screenings on

I don't think we have German sound recordists on The D-Word, so that's a bit pointless. But www.crew-united.com lists 259 of them. If your colleagues find someone locally, they could save the money for airfare and accommodation and instead actually pay the guy... However, for that, they would need to get the location right. "Neuhosen" doesn't exist in Germany.
