Hello all,

I'm Maria, a producer for controversial independent film company Pie 'n' Mash Films. We started making fictional black comedies but swiftly developed into documentary film.

My partner, award winning film director Bill Maloney, came forward recently as a victim of institutional abuse. A group of 22 men approached Bill and Pie 'n' Mash films to tell their story of horrific abuse and torture a the hands of a senior prison officer back in the 70s. Only four years ago at the same centre the youngest suicide victim in a UK child prison 'Adam Rickwood' was found beaten black and blue with a broken nose and a broken wrist hanging by his trainer laces. His family do not believe it was suicide.
It's a tough subject with tough content. The major broadcast networks will no doubt refuse to air the documentary so I'm looking for all alternative outlets to get our victims stories told.

Anyway! After that somber introduction I thought I'd say 'Hi' to all, it's ok, I'm not all doom and gloom and look forward to connecting with some of you on the site.
Maria.

He also spent some time working as a consultant for Endemol Germany and Endemol Sport, after which he spent a few years producing and directing documentaries for Dutch and foreign broadcasting stations, including Discovery International, National Geographic, NHK and PBS. One of these productions yielded awards in the United States and France. Bosscher currently works as a consultant, editor in chief and director for various Dutch broadcasting stations and government agencies.

Hi, my name is Chihiro and I work on a crossmedia project empowering media dialogue between makers and doc fans. It's called MoochMe and will be launched at IDFA 2009 at Cinema De Munt. The idea: Promote your own & take one home!

Additionally I've directed and edited a couple of short docs for the Buddhist Broadcast here in Holland and wish to develop myself in this field in the coming years.

Favorite docs: The Planet & Surplus editted by Johan Soderberg! War on democracy, The Corporation and looking forward to seeing "Age of Stupid" & "Soundtrack for a revolution" at IDFA this year. I saw a little preview at the IDFA CLUB evening.

Looking forward to connecting, learning & sharing doc insights and news. Total newby here so have to snoop around a bit
