Was wondering if anyone here had a name for a person in LA who's a whiz at Filemaker? We're looking for a little consulting help and some advice setting up a stock footage database. There's not a lot of stock footage in our film, but enough to make us need to track it. It's for a doc film about girls education in the developing world, called 10x10: Educate Girls, Change the World ( We're located in LA, near Hollywood, Koreatown, not far from Silverlake.
Let me know if you or someone you know might be interested. Thanks so much, Alex (alex [at] 10x10act [dot] com)

Hi! I would like to make a short documentary of about 15 minutes in length about a very unusual house in Los Angeles. We are thinking along the lines of the old A&E series "America's Castles."

The challenges are that we need it done quickly and the budget is limited.

Are you interested in making this film, or do you know someone in L.A. who might be? Please let me know.

"The Real Stuff" is a series of interviews with the makers of unscripted tv and film.

My guest this episode is Angie Brown.

Angie is the head of casting and development for a production company in Washington, D.C.

You know those people who corner you at a party and tell you they’ve got a great idea for a reality show? And then they tell you and it’s a terrible idea. All of those people need to sit down with Angie and get a little schooling as to what makes for a good television show idea.
