I have a last minute shoot tomorrow in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and am looking for an intern/P.A. to help. We're shooting on the new Canon C300 which is really cool.
The shoot is actually a Kickstarter video for a very cool new product.
The budget is minimal, but I can pay a bit of cash for the day.

New Yorkers: my son (late 20's) will be enrolled in a one-year master's program at Columbia starting this summer. He needs modest single or shared housing in NYC (ideally upper west side) from June 7 – July 31. And, a year's accommodation for three responsible twenty-somethings beginning August 1. Any leads, please contact me offline and I'll forward them. Any general suggestions as to other viable (more affordable?) neighborhoods welcome too!
Email address for the above: email@example.com. Thanks!

Any suggestions regarding what festivals to send it?
Raymund, you already posted this in the Festivals topic (a much more appropriate place for it) and we really try to discourage double postings. Trust that people really will find it if it's in the right topic.
In reply to Doug Block's post on Sat 12 May 2012 :

No worries at all, Raymund, happens all the time. We're really happy to have you here on The D-Word, and that you've thrown yourself into the discussions so enthusiastically and generously.

Raymond, Do you know of the organization Stone Soup Films in D.C.? They train young people to make videos about local non-profits. They might be a good partner for your documentary idea. Check it out: stonesoupfilms.org
I wasn't sure where to post this. Doug, is this right? I just heard about the Filmshop, an organization for filmmakers with a chapter in Brooklyn and Manhattan. It looks interesting but there's a fee to join and I wanted to see if anyone on the Dword might be a member or share any opinion or insights about the group. You can private email me, if you'd like.
