I am a freelance Associate Producer/Researcher in NYC - with other
solid production skills as well, and have been working in the
documentary film industry for more than nine years. I hoped someone
in the D-community could offer me some advice about getting the word

A family faces their hopes, dreams, ambitions, and regrets as the
parents prepare for retirement and an empty nest while their 20-
something children get ready for the real world. This personal film
explores the difficulties associated with adapting to the changing
roles and responsibilities of a typical American family.
CAUGHT IN THE NET by the Institute for Documentary Filmmaking
A decade after dotcom fever took over Wall Street, we revisit three
Internet entrepreneurs who became unexpected players in big business
in the 1990s How did these kid millionaires deal with their success
and the subsequent burst of the Net Economy bubble?
This event is open to the public and no reservations are required. A
suggested donation of $5 can be paid in cash at the door. Program
starts at 7:00 and lasts until approximately 9:30 pm. Location is
the Jack Morton Auditorium on the campus of the George Washington

I am currently working on a documentary about an Iraq war
veteran, who shot his own video footage in Iraq, and has since
been speaking out against the war, including in the local
Binghamton, NY area, Crawford, TX for Camp Casey, etc.

At Docs in Progress workshops, documentary filmmakers screen their
works in progress to a general audience and get feedback through a
moderated critique session. As those who have participated can
attest, these workshops are one of the best ways to get free feedback
and move forward with a project, especially when you may feel stuck
or simply want a reality check on your work before submitting it to
festivals or pitching it for television.
The submission deadline for January is December 1. The first step is
to submit a brief description of the film online at

with information on how to submit a tape or DVD.
