What do a hip hop producer, a kid who does naked comedy, terrorists, and
faith healing have to do with each other? Find out in Mindflank, the true story
of a year in the life of 23 year old Te Devan "Rocketman" Kurzweil.  He is a
strange mix of Abbie Hoffman activism and Andy Kauffman who hit the streets
of New York last year to fulfill his dream of being a rap star. Soon after 9.11.01
Te discovered he had the ability to take away people's pain without touching
them. This 6'7 Jewish kid from New Jersey spends his spare time fighting
terrorists, healing on the streets and entertaining people with his naked
comedy (as seen recently on the Ricki Lake Show). Although his mission in
life is to mess with people's heads and wake them up from their consumption
induced coma, he maintains that his healing powers are genuine. He
continues to heal people anywhere and everywhere he goes.

A planet of pure rock* A planet for you to enjoy the adventure*

A refuge for the mountain culture in the Argentine Patagonian Andes

The Film

Planet Frey is the chronicle of the discovery of a very small universe, with a very particular set of characteristics, at the center of which we find the mountain hut Emilio Frey. It is here, in this small planet of granite towers and needles, that we become fully aware of the traditional Patagonian mountain culture. Climbers find in Frey an ideal setting for rock climbing, which is one of its main attractions. The filmmakers go slowly discovering the environment, and in doing so, they begin climbing and end up by feeling the challenge in their own skin whilst attempting some of the main summits in the area. Planeta Frey is visually majestic, with an agile edition and excellent music it is virtually a celebration and invites the spectator to enjoy the mountain.

The Company

DOCSUR is a new independent production company; the first one of its kind in Patagonia. The whole idea behind the company when it was formed was to contribute in the propagation of information and images of this vast, mysterious and virginal region of the planet, with the belief that the broadcast of its natural resources and riches, full of breathtaking contrasts, was the best way to contribute with the full appreciation and preservation of the region. The company*s members and professional crew, all fully identified with their native land, work hard to offer to the world high quality products, that represent as well the infinite diversity of contents found in this territory. Patagonia harbors exquisite manifestations of nature, adventure, mystery, history, science and culture, and the world must have a chance to get to know them.

The movie My Flesh & Blood opened this weekend, and they need some
support at the box office, so if you have any interest in the movie,
please buy a ticket today!

They just won 2 awards at IDFA, 2 awards at Sundance, shortlisted for
the Academy and will probably get a nomination, and not only that
it's an incredible film that gets me choked up just reading the New
York Times review.

But all that may be eclipsed if they do poorly at the box office,
which would be bad news for all of us, so help get the word out, and
help get some people in the seats, today!

"In what has been called the year of the documentary, "My Flesh and
Blood" stands beside "Capturing the Friedmans" and "Fog of War" as an
unforgettable experience".
-Stephen Holden, NY Times

"My Flesh and Blood" etches and unforgettable portrait"
-Kevin Thomas, LA Times

"There's no denying that "My Flesh and Blood" is one of this year's
best documentaries and that the experiences of this family from
Fairfield will resonate with moviegoers from around the country.
***** Five Star Rating
-Jonathan Curiel, SF Chronicle

"You'd have to be a stone to not be affected by "My Flesh and Blood".

Australian Int. Documentary Conference 2004

Take the Journey to the Australian International Documentary
Conference 2004

Journey to where the sand and sea meet for one of the largest
recurrent screen industry conferences in Australia - the 2004
Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC).

The 9th AIDC - hosted by ScreenWest - will run for three
inspirational and stimulating days from 26-28 February 2004 at The
Esplanade Hotel in the picturesque port city of Fremantle.

AIDC is expected to attract more than 600 national and international
delegates who will traverse a very practical program covering topics
such as film content, craft, contemporary theory, technology,
marketplace demands and future directions in documentary production.
Program highlights include:

· Refugees in the World The numbers grow each year, governments make
it harder for the refugee, and film makers to keep telling stories of
the individual who is the person behind the name - refugee. Do their
films make any difference?

· Documentaries - What's New? Are audiences really watching the same
TV show for 20 years? Has anything really changed in the TV guide
between 1984 and 2004? Is Steve Irwin a recycled Harry Butler?

· Different Ways of Measuring A single documentary can alter a
person's life forever. How do you measure that? A look at the impact
of some documentary programs on people's lives.
