I was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and got started in film through a Film and Video Production course in high school. I was immediately drawn in to all aspects of filmmaking, especially editing. After high school, I spent a year in Australia on an exchange where I ended up editing the raw footage from my host father’s voyage to Antarctica into a 30-minute documentary. I immediately knew I wanted more of this in my life. When I returned back from Australia, I immediately enrolled in the Digital Filmmaking program at the Centre for Arts and Technology in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I graduated at the top of my class and started working at a local production company as an Editor/Camera Assistant.
