Public Bio

Ben Kempas is a documentary filmmaker and cinematographer based in Munich and Edinburgh. He has been a co-host of The D-Word since 2002. Ben has been running expressive.tv, his documentary label, since 1994. His most recent film is UPSTREAM BATTLE, an award-winning documentary that was selected for the Toronto International Film Festival and more than 30 other festivals. Ben currently works as Producer of Marketing and Distribution for the Scottish Documentary Institute.
