Veteran storyboard artist and production designer Harold Michelson has been described as "The world's greatest illustrator." He was one of Alfred Hitchcock's favorite storyboard artist, and worked on such classics as “The Birds” and "Marnie," as well as on Mike Nichols's "The Graduate" and Francis Ford Coppola's "The Cotton Club." In addition to being Hollywood's most sought-after storyboard artist, Michelson was Oscar-nominated for his work as production designer on Richard Brooks's "Terms of Endearment" and Robert Wise's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture." Through archive footage, original artwork, in-depth interviews with Francis Ford Coppola, Mike Nichols and Mel Brooks, as well as never before seen footage of Michelson working on "The Birds," "Storyboarding" is an intimate portrait of one of Hollywood's most creative and talented unknown icons.
