This bio was cleverly written in the third-person to fool impressionable people into thinking it was written by someone else. Someone on my enormous staff, maybe. Or perhaps my personal publicist.

Doug Block is an independent director, cameraman and producer. His recent documentary credits include: Michel Negroponte's Jupiter's Wife (Co-Producer), a 1996 Emmy Award-winner and winner of a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival; Silverlake Life: The View From Here (Co-Producer), winner of the Grand Jury Prize and Freedom of Expression Award at Sundance, the Prix Italia, a Peabody and awards from the L.A. Film Critics Association and many others; The Heck With Hollywood! (Producer, Director, Cameraman,) an international film festival favorite, distributed theatrically in the U.S. by Original Cinema; and David Van Taylor and R.J. Cutler's A Perfect Candidate (Cameraman.)

Oh yeah, then there's this film called Home Page.

Block is currently co-producing and shooting Jennifer Dworkin's ITVS documentary, Love's Story; directing five original short films for streaming on the net commissioned by Eveo.com; and, with Dan Richards, overseeing a worldwide virtual community of documentary professionals, The D-Word Community. He's also threatening to begin a new documentary project in collaboration with members of The D-Word Community.

Geez... somebody give this guy some funding.
